"Harmony Village resident, Quebalea bonds with her daughter in her transitional apartment. Upon her mother's death, Quebalea and her three brothers went to live with her 25 year old sister. The situation was overwhelming, and a lot of verbal and physical conflict ensued. Quebalea then went to St. Louis to live with an aunt, but the aunt's boyfriend tried to molest her. When she told, her aunt put her out. She stayed with other family members, but none of these arrangements were stable. She even tried to live with her sister again, and gave birth to her daughter while living there, but the sister kicked her and the baby out. While on the Harmony waiting list for three months, she and the baby stayed with various friends, some who didn't have any electricity and some who didn't have hot water. "I really appreciate Harmony Village. It's really helping me with saving my money and with the next steps I need to take in life." "
